We are Andy and Sadie Fischer, together with our two boys, Abel and Tucker,  are excited and proud to be able to offer you high quality meat from our family's farm to your family's table! We pride ourselves in raising our animals humanely and with the utmost respect. We feel that we have been called to steward this land and the animals we raise, we strive to practice the tenets of regenerative agriculture and animal husbandry in everything we do.

 

Our goal is to raise the highest quality meat and farm fresh eggs to nourish our customers and their families while putting more into the land and our community than we take out. Andy & Sadie Fischer

Whiteside Ranch is a beautiful 80-acre property located in Waunakee, WI just a few miles north of Madison. Here we raise about 40 head of beef cattle, a mixture of Black Angus and Hereford Cross. Whiteside Ranch was established in 2017 by Patrick and Courtney Maier. Patrick and Courtney purchased the farm from a woman who started it as a beef farm in 1986. Our mission is to provide consumers with a local and trusted source for grass fed beef, while being good stewards of our land and animals we raise.

For years, our family raised Holstein steers for freezer beef, but stopped to focus on our female Holstein genetics. We missed the taste, quality, and convenience of homegrown beef.  In 2015, we chose to cross the Wagyu beef breed on our Holsteins for a number of reasons; they do well on a forage-based diet, have extreme spider web-like marbling, have a great disposition and fit our current farm set up.

After raising, processing and tasting our first beef, we were hooked.  We've shared our meat with family and friends receiving great responses with requests for more. 

​

We believe healthy, well-fed and well-cared for cattle produce the best meat.  Our cattle are raised naturally and free from hormones or antibiotics, in addition to being under our care at all times.  The Wagyu x Holstein crossbread's marbling matures at 24-30 months.

 

We are excited to be raising the freshest, most delicious beef for you.
